Summer 2021 – Wisconsin Dells
I have enjoyed taking photos for awhile, but started to focus more on wildlife over the summer of 2021. I wanted a way to better capture our two puppies we got earlier in 2021. In learning more about sport/animal shooting I realized the importance of using the right lens and having the proper lighting.
There were a couple of old Tamron lenses that went out to 300mm that I have used to get shots of squirrels and birds, but I was never happy with how they turned out. Someday I will probably post those, but I have not made nearly enough progress to do something like that.
I ordered a 55-250mm lens that allowed me to get a closer focal length on my camera (Canon 70D at the time). This lens was a game changer, it had more reliable auto-focus and was much sharper.

After the Crane Foundation, we went to the Deer Park in the Wisconsin Dells to feed some deer.
These spiders were also found along the Dells area:
